HOT HITS

The Supremes / The Four Tops | Cover Version | “River Deep, Mountain High”

Taken from the LP ‘Hot Hits – Volume 6’ | (Music For Pleasure MFP 5214) July 1971

This edition of Hot Hits was released in July, at the height of the British Summer. What better way to celebrate the sunshine than asking a pretty young thing to don her white bikini and play cricket.

I’m sure she enjoyed whacking balls around.

Back cover credits include:

Geoff Boycott bat from Lillywhites Limited, Piccadilly Circus, W1
Bikini by Nelbarden Swimwear

The track I’m highlighting is a version of “River Deep, Mountain High”, a No. 11 hit for The Supremes / The Four Tops. Solid production and drum sound.
