Taken from the LP ‘Chart Choice – Summer Collection’ | (Music For Pleasure MFP 50208) May 1975
Chart Choice, on the MFP label only lasted for three compilations before the series was dumped. This short-lived pop covers album set was the follow-up to those “Hot Hits” LPs which were very popular!
By mid 1975 there had already been some massive hits that would last the test of time. For me personally, there isn’t much here to get excited about.
A version of “Oh Boy”, a hit record for 50s throwbacks Mud almost made my entry highlight. But I’m going for something a little more obscure and probably completely forgotten about almost fifty years later.
Peter Skellern‘s “Hold On To Love” reached No. 14 in the Charts and that was about it for young Peter as a ‘pop star’.
