Taken from the LP ‘Hot Hits – Volume 18’ | (Music For Pleasure MFP 50060) May 1973
The series of ‘Hot Hits‘, continued with a fun-loving blonde dollybird dressed in the latest revealing motorbike scrambling clobber. You know, open buttoned blue denim shirt, jeans and knee-length pink go go boots. What a lass!
There’s a ‘Not Exchangeable’ note stamped on the back cover, but I’m sure the kids spending their hard-earned pocket money weren’t bothered about returning this LP because it’s of quite a decent standard. No complaints. Even the cover of “Hell Raiser” ain’t too bad.
Cover versions include “Also Sprach Zarathustra (2001)”, by Deadato, “You Want It, You Got It”, by the Detroit Emeralds, a decent rendition of “Giving It All Away” by Roger Daltrey and the funky pop blast “Brother Louie”, by Hot Chocolate.
The Leo Sayer penned “Giving It All Away” reached No. 5 in the British Charts for Roger Daltrey
