Taken from the LP ‘Chestnut Mare’ | (CBS Special Products WSR 960) 197?

Now, this is a strange LP release! During the last three years of rummaging around charity shops and junk dumps, this was the first time I’ve ever clapped my eyes on this item. I had no idea it even existed.

The crew at CBS were hardly enterprising with this budget sampler. I can hear them in the meeting room discussing tactics for this record to sell.

“Let’s put a photo of a hippie chick on the cover stroking the head of a brown horse.”

“Genius!” mused a rotund square, puffing on a cigar.

“We can call the budget sampler ‘Chestnut Mare’, after our recent and surprising Byrds hit!”

Despite all that my highlighted number from the set is Anita Harris “Jumbleland”, a track from ‘Anita Harris Sings Songs From The Thames Television Series Anita In Jumbleland”.
