This is the ’16 Chart Hits’ end of year round-up for 1972. Each and every song reached the top five in Britain, perhaps every track was a number one. I don’t know, I haven’t checked.

Of course whenever I hear a cover version of “Mouldy Old Dough” I feel obligated to create a YouTube video simply because it’s the epitome of pop dumbness. And that’s what it’s all about isn’t it?
