Taken from the LP ‘16 Chart Hits – Volume 3’ | (Contour 2870 194) October 1972
I seem to be spending a lot of time in the year 1972 with a plethora of budget label remake compilations recently, and here’s another one.
There’s a very good version of Panther Lee‘s “In A Broken Dream” and a spirited jaunt through Alice Cooper‘s “Elected” but unfortunately there are skips on both of those tacks.
It looks like the careless kid who had the LP in the ’70s used it as a bread board to cut his / her toast before school, or something like that! But wrecked vinyl from charity shops is something I’ve made my peace with.
Fortunately I have another copy of Volume 3 in my archives and when I eventually get to that album I’ll consider more YouTube videos.
The ever magnificent and totally dumb “Mouldy Old Dough” plays fine and for that reason I’m making Lieutenant Pigeon my star attraction on ‘Junk Box Jury’ once again.
The link for other version and information about the original can be found here.
