DAVE EDMUNDS

Dave Edmunds | Cover Version | “Baby I Love You”

Taken from the LP ‘12 Tops – Volume 9’ (MER 105) February 1973

The stand-out cover for me on this LP is Dave Edmunds’ “Baby I Love You”, a top ten hit for him in early 1973. The song has been covered numerous times with perhaps the Ramones updated version in 1980 my absolute favourite.

Crack open a few cans of lemon & lime Cresta pop and check out what the musicians working for the 12 Tops series did with this Phil Spector number.

Top of the Pops sounds while they are hot on the BBC Charts. The original hit sounds that are selling millions. Look for an exciting new album of up-to-date hits each month.
