Taken from the LP ‘12 Tops – Volume 6′ | (Stereo Gold Award MER 102) September 1972
I’m catapulted back in time to September 1972 for this set of ’12 Tops’ and I’m in a world where I only know about bird-nesting, Subbuteo and football. I was too young to know anything about the Pop Charts.
The only number I recognise is the utterly essential “Mouldy Old Dough” by Lieutenant Pigeon, which would usually get my YouTube upload nomination. But I’m going for the funky instrumental jam “Outa Space” by Billy Preston.
Another good cover version is “I Didn’t Know I Loved You (Till I Saw You Rock and Roll)’ by Gary Glitter, but I doubt the YouTube algorithm will have anything to do with Mr Glitter, at least in my upload experience.
