DON FARDON

Don Fardon | “Mississippi Woman” | (Young Blood)

Taken from the LP ‘Released’ | (Young Blood SSYB) December 1970

Don Fardon | “Mississippi Woman” | (Young Blood) | DON FARDON is a singer whose rise to fame has been steady, not meteoric; a singer who has had to work hard to establish his reputation. The professionalism and polish he has achieved during the last five years are clearly illustrated on this album.

Don started singing with THE SORROWS and had three hit singles. After leaving the group to pursue a career as a solo singer his records have earned him great success internationally with INDIAN RESERVATION making the Top 10 in the USA and the Top 20 in most other parts of the world.

Numerous TV, radio and stage appearances have added to Don’s experience and now, on this album, his rich soothing voice , backed by superb orchestration, presents a series of songs which are both melodic and memorable.

Apart from the successful INDIAN RESERVATION, tracks to note are HUDSON BAY, CALIFORNIA MAIDEN and RIVERBOAT which all demonstrate without a doubt the quality that DON FARDON has, the quality that he imparts to songs – A HIT QUALITY. (LP cover liners)
