Selected tracks taken from the album “The Beatles Golden Songs” on (Windmill Records WMD 130) 1972
Studio Five Orchestra Singers & Chorus | The Beatles Golden Songs | (Windmill) | Well, what have we here? After a period of four years looking for junk records and unwanted pieces of vinyl from long ago, I finally found a copy of this low-budget gem.
But just who were the Studio Five Orchestra Singers & Chorus? Information on the web is extremely limited. Virtually nothing has ever been written about this LP. It’s as if it’s a sacrilege to create cover versions of Beatles numbers.

I’ll make a three-song-mix from this long ignored album and attempt to get it past the YouTube moderation cult. The chances are that because it’s Beatles related I’ll probably get a copyright strike and that will be the end of my ‘Rejected’ Channel.
The music is lovingly recorded and is definitely something to have in the archive. The mid-sixties beat tunes stand out more so than the boring laments of “Something”, “Hey Jude” and “Yesterday”. Those three are snoozeville at best even when the Beatles recorded them.
Worthy contenders and proto-Rutles gems include “I Feel Fine”, “We Can Work It Out”, “Day Tripper” and “Help!”
