SOUNDS LIKE HITS

The Love Affair & The Supremes Rave-Up | Cover Versions | Soul ’68

Taken from the LP ‘Sounds Like Hits No. 4’ | (Fontana SFL 13092) December 1968

The recreations on this ‘Sounds Like Hits’ LP is a mixed-bag but there are at least half a dozen nuggets that are well worth your interest, including a groovy version of “I’m A Tiger”, a majestic “Eloise” and the stripped down “Light My Fire”. I may have to upload those tracks at a later date.

For now though I’m going Soul pop ’68 with a couple of dynamic cuts first recorded by The Love Affair and The Supremes. Man. they knew how to record drums back in the day. Full backing, hard driving soul shredders.
