Taken from the LP ‘Hot Hits – Volume 8’ | (Music For Pleasure MFP 5243) October 1971
The series of ‘Hot Hits‘, continued in the boxing ring with a blond dollybird composing herself in readiness for another tear-up. Her boxing gear supplied by Lonsdale, London.
This is a half decent edition into the song remake genre of budget label releases with pin-point covers of “Surrender”, by Diana Ross, “Tired Of Being Alone”, by Al Green, an interesting version of “Coz I Luv You”, by Slade and a highlight in “Run Baby Run (Back Into My Arms)”, by The Newbeats originally released in 1965.
Strangely, “Run Baby Run” was also recorded and released by Hotlegs. I believe their version only came out on the flip of a single issued in Germany. Hotlegs then became 10cc.
The Newbeats | Cover Version | “Run Baby Run”
These are twelve of the HOT HITS that are riding high in the charts. They have been excitingly recreated by talented artists who recapture the original appeal that has made them into hits.
Music For Pleasure brings you these chart busters on a single LP so if you want to make your party swing or simply wish to relish the sounds of HOT HITS, pop this album onto your record player and enjoy yourself.
