A MELTING POT OF HITS

Norman Greenbaum | Cover Version | “Spirit In The Sky”

Taken from the LP ‘A Melting Pot Of Hits′ | (Fontana 6438035) 1970

Norman Greenbaum | Cover Version | “Spirit In The Sky” | This LP cost me a bin lid from the British Heart foundation in Durham City centre. I was quite surprised to find it because after five years looking for junk records it was the first time I’ve seen this one.

I wasn’t even sure if the tracks on offer were by the real groups and performers so was pleased to find that they weren’t. I much prefer the amateurish, fifteen-minutes-in-the-studio, knock-off’s. That’s the whole point of my blog and You Tube Channel ‘Junk Box Jury’.
